Q: How to Check the Hard Disk Connection Status of DVR/NVR?

In general, please first check if the hard disk interface is well connected. Generally there are three status of the HDD in the system: empty, error and normal. Assuming that the DVR/NVR has the hard disk inside, please follow these steps to check the connection status of the HDD.

① Click "Mainmenu" > Click "Storage" > Select "HDD Manage" > Check the HDD status. If it is "Error", please refer to point ②;  If it is "Empty", then refer to point ③ and ④.

 

② Select "Format Disk" > Click "OK" ，the hard disk status will be normal after formatting successfully.

 

③ Loosen the screws in four positions as marked in the pictures below.

 

 

④ Unplug and replug the hard disk cable and ensure that all cables are well-connected

 

⑤ Check the status of the hard disk, and if it is ”Normal“, the hard disk is well-connected.
