General Information

You have purchased a Q-See CCTV security system for the protection and security it provides your property, your family, and your employees. This security depends on having a fully-operational business or home security surveillance system.

12-month Warranty

All Q-See products are sold with a conditional 12-month warranty from date of purchase, which provides free repair service for hardware. A free exchange service is provided within one month for any product with manufacturing defects. See our full warranty policy.

Product Registration

Complete the product registration form to receive warranty and technical support benefits and to be notified of product updates and other important information relating to your purchased product.  You may fill out and return the paper form enclosed inside the box, or complete the online registration form.

Returns/Repairs

If your Q-See product package is missing parts, or if you need to return a product to Q-See for repair or exchange, you will need to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) prior to sending the product back to us.  Complete and submit the RMA form.

We will review your request and respond within one business day to the email address that you provide on the form.  Our response will include instructions on how to return the product to us, and also a unique RMA number that is used to track your returned product. No returns are accepted unless accompanied by a RMA number that has been previously supplied.

Free Software Upgrades

Many Q-See CCTV products include both hardware and software. Free software upgrades are provided for the life of your Q-See product. You can check the Software Downloads tab on the product model page of the Q-See web site to see if there are updates for your product.  Type in your model number on the search box at the top of this page to be directed to the product model page.

Free DVR Firmware Updates

Digital Video Recorders occasionally require firmware updates to be installed in order to enhance their performance or capabilities. These updates are free and are provided for the life of your Q-See product. If your DVR requires a firmware update it is critical that you read the instructions (known as the README file) before downloading the firmware update in order to ensure proper installation.

Firmware updates are listed on the Firmware Update tab on the web site product model page for your DVR model.  Type in your model number on the search box at the top of this page to be directed to the product model page. You can also find them on the DVR Download Center.

Manuals and Installation Guides
